Expand your catalogue to offer both products and services

Sometimes you have to make the hard decision of cutting something from your catalogue. Be smart about it – use the information you’ve gleaned from customer feedback to inform your business decisions.
  3. Combine fields of study. Sometimes you don’t have the right skills or expertise to do every aspect of your product innovation. In Robert’s case, he may know a lot about food, but he needed help from designers and experts to get the full eating experience right at his restaurant.

I agree with the first four guidelines the next two is SUBJECTIVE in my opinion.The first four pretty much sums up what is innovation while the New Tech? or starting from the ground up may work but not fully or may require much more effort and time. Example of it in hindsight is the notion of it works for her so it will work for me. Not always the case.
